Members of Georgian Parliamentary Delegation Meet with the Speaker of Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan
A delegation of the Parliament of Georgia, composed of the Head of the Georgia-Azerbaijan Friendship Group Givi Mikanadze, Chair of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee Shota Berekashvili, and Committee members Levan Machavariani and Anton Oboladze, held a meeting with the Chairperson of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Sahiba Gafarova. During the meeting, the parties discussed the positive dynamic of inter-parliamentary cooperation and placed particular emphasis on strengthening relations between the sectoral committees of both countries. The discussion also covered the upcoming youth exchange camp programme for Georgian and Azerbaijani participants, which is scheduled to take place in July and August in both countries. Furthermore, the meeting addressed the deepening of economic relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan, as well as key strategic projects that are vital for ensuring sustainable economic growth in both nations. Parliamentary representatives positively assessed the role of the sectoral committees in the implementation of these initiatives and underlined the importance of providing such opportunities for fostering future cooperation among young people. The meeting was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Zurab Pataradze.
